Well this is my second time here and let me tell you if I would be able to give Dr. Castañeda and his staff 10 stars that is exactly what I would give them. He made me feel very comfortable from the beginning to end. He answered all my questions. He is very professional and his work is AMAZING!! Already referred friends and family and will continue to do so. Staff is very knowledgeable, polite and super friendly. Clinic is very modern and clean. The Recovery Center is also amazing. I have to thank Dr. Panama for her work, she is excellent, and the staff she works with very professional, they make you feel relaxed. that when you go to an operating room you are always afraid. Thank you. …
I've been going to this dermatology for about 6 months now and the results have been second to none. Reason for my visits were due to acne/acne scars, I've battled through acne for over 10 years. This is the best my skin has ever looked. I've been to multiple dermatologist none could have helped me the way Avanti Derma has. I highly recommend Dr. Edwin Maya seeing as he and his staff are very professional and attentive to their patients.
I do not recommend it at all, he has no tact with his clients, I was just going to waste my time

I have hated my lower eye bags for years. Now at age 59 I decided to do something about it. My cousin who is an RN and esthetician in the Bay Area recommended Dr. Juan Carlos Fuentes, who operates at a clinic in Tijuana, Mexico. Via a virtual consultation, whereby I sent him photographs and details of what I was seeking, he returned a price quote and details of the procedure he recommended, Transconjunctival Blepharoplasy. My assigned contact there, Yesenia, was knowledgeable and prompt getting back to me with answers to all my emailed questions. I decided to go ahead, and traveled to his lovely, state-of-the-art clinic, Cosmed, in Tijuana to first have the required lab tests done, and then returned 2 weeks later for the surgery. From start to finish he and his staff were professional and compassionate. The surgery lasted an hour, under local anesthesia with a sedative. I was discharged that day with stiches and surgical tape to keep them in place. I followed instructions, applied icepacks and took it very easy for a few days. I returned 5 days later to have the stitches removed, and was stunned by the dramatic improvement so soon after the procedure. The rapid healing and minor swelling and bruising I attribute to Dr. Fuentes’ masterful skills and long experience doing cosmetic surgery. I returned to work after 6 days and my coworkers were all amazed at the difference and how good I looked. Today is 8 days after, and I still can’t believe it when I look in the mirror. The whole experience and improvement far surpassed my expectations, and I heartily recommend Dr. Fuentes and Cosmed for any cosmetic surgery you may be considering. He partners with a few other surgeons at the clinic, who are also tops in their specialties. I saved thousands of dollars compared to what I’d have paid here in the US, and got a world-class result. Thank you, Dr. Fuentes and Cosmed!

Dermatology is a branch of medicine that focuses on health issues affecting the skin, nails, hair, and mucous membrane. It is a specialty with both surgical and medical aspects. A dermatologist can address cosmetic issues, which can help to rejuvenate the appearance of the skin, nails, and hair. Being a dermatologist requires a great depth of clinical knowledge, including the variety of internal health problems that may cause skin symptoms. Dermatologists can treat over 3,000 conditions. Some of the most common are acne, dermatitis and eczema, hair loss, nail problems, fungal infections, warts, vitiligo, and skin cancer.
Dermatology has a number of departments and specialties, including:
A range of medical and cosmetic procedures are used to manage issues affecting the skin, nails, and hair. Many skin conditions can be treated by medications and noninvasive procedures, while others may require more invasive approaches. The following are several dermatologic procedures:
Depending on the type of procedure you have, you may be able to leave the hospital on the same day or stay for several days. For noninvasive treatments, such as chemical peels and cosmetic injections, you should be able to leave the hospital on the same day and fly home within a couple of days. For invasive procedures, particularly to treat serious medical conditions, such as cancer, you may need to stay in the hospital for several days, and stay in Mexico for at least 10 to 14 days. Your surgeon and/or medical travel team will advise you on this matter.
Recovery time will vary depending on the type of procedure you have, the reason why you have the procedure in the first place, and your general health. Your dermatologist will usually give you a detailed recovery timeline for each procedure. In general, recovery time for nonsurgical procedures is typically short and you should be able to resume your normal routine within a few days. For surgical procedures, it may take several weeks until you are allowed to return to your full daily activities.
Your dermatologist will give you a set of instructions to care for yourself during the recovery period. The instructions will be different for each type of procedures, but they may include a diet plan, light exercises to follow, how to care for your surgical wounds or affected area, activities you can or cannot do, signs of complications to be aware of, and medication to take. It is important that you follow your dermatologist’s instructions closely in order to avoid complications and to obtain the best possible results.
Some cosmetic procedures may not be permanent, such as dermal fillers and Botox, so you will need to have regular treatments in order to maintain the results. For skin cancer treatment, you may need to attend follow-up checkups to ensure that cancer has not come back.
Experienced and skilled dermatologists will be able to deliver a high success rate and satisfactory results. However, every type of procedure carries some risk, which may include infection, swelling, bleeding, adverse reaction to anesthesia, and unsatisfactory results.
If you have any problems with your skin, going to a dermatologist is the only way to treat it. However, if the skin problem is caused by an underlying condition, your doctor or dermatologist will recommend you to see relevant doctors to treat it.
Before seeing a dermatologist, you may have a problem with your skin. You may not like the wrinkles on your face, or you may have a lesion that needs to be removed. After receiving treatment from a dermatologist, your skin problems should be addressed. You may be able to achieve your dream appearance, any disease you had before may be treated.

Mexico ranks among the top five locales for medical tourism worldwide, consistently attracting those seeking not only medical care but luxurious, boutique-styled facilities for recovery as well. With a price tag that usually amounts to 70-80% less than what you'd expect to pay in the US for the same procedure, it's no wonder why Mexico is such an attractive option for medical tourists.
In terms of the economic value, medical tourism in Mexico has proven to be no small industry. According to the data gathered in 2016, the industry is worth a whopping $4.8 Billion. Mexico, in its vastness, doesn't possess a uniform climate throughout the nation. Various regions exhibit distinct weather patterns, which are inextricably linked to their geographical features. Given Mexico's immense size, it's unsurprising that the climate varies significantly across different locations. The periodic patterns across the nation are not homogenous, as one would expect in a smaller, less diverse country. Instead, Mexico’s topography, which is incredibly varied, heavily influences the country’s diverse weather and climate.
In terms of seasonality, Mexico traditionally experiences two major seasons - the rainy season and the dry season. Each of these seasons presents its own unique set of conditions and weather patterns, shaping the climate across the country in distinctive ways. The shifts between these periods of rain and periods of drought are quite pronounced, showcasing the climatic dualism that shapes the Mexican landscape. This cyclical pattern of rainy and dry seasons is a key part of Mexico's climatic identity, having profound effects on both its environment and the livelihood of its inhabitants.

You can navigate between cities via local buses and rental cars, making the journey a part of your Mexican adventure. However, for a quicker commute, the metro system prevails as the fastest mode of transport. This web of fast trains bridges the gap between major cities including Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, ensuring convenient and expedient transportation.
