I had thee best experience with both Dr. Schwartz and his staff. I went in for one thing and found out I didn't need it but that I had a disease that caused my issue. Dr Schwartz answered so many problems I've been having. I literally never …
My experience with Dr. Bruno and his team has been nothing but good! Prior to choosing Dr.Bruno for my breast augmentation, I had a consultation with another doctor. She stated that my type of BA would require a complex procedure that would increase the price of my BA significantly. After doing my research and posting on RealSelf, I felt that I needed a second opinion because what she said I had was not confirmed by other doctors. It left me feeling she was being dishonest about what I needed just to hike up the cost of the surgery. Dr. Bruno had been referred to me by a friend that also had a BA so I decided to book a consultation with him and I am sooooo glad I did. I've had such a pleasant experience with his team since the first time I reached out to them. Joselle has always been really sweet and accommodating. I explained to her that I would like to see Dr. Bruno as soon as possible because I had only a few days to decide whether I would go with the other surgeon (the other surgeon's quote was only good for a few days because of a promotion they had). She gave me an appointment slot that worked for me, later she ended up calling me the next day to let me know that there was an appointment that was a couple days earlier than my original appointment. I really appreciated it that as I had very limited time to make up my mind. The day of my consultation came and after meeting with Dr. Bruno, it was clear to me that I would be going with him for my BA. He explained the procedure in great detail and answered of all my questions honestly. It was completely different experience than my consultation with the other surgeon who was pushy and seemed annoyed that I had tons of questions. He and his team made me feel very comfortable and I never felt pressured by them, as I did with the other surgeon I consulted. Both Marisol and Joselle were just as helpful with answering all my questions as Dr. Bruno. Throughout the entire BA journey, his staff would call me to remind me of appointments as well as check up on me once I had the procedure. They genuinely care about their patients. As far as the results go, I am only three weeks out from surgery but I already love what I am seeing and can't wait for my final result as I really admire Dr. Bruno's work from the before and after pictures I have seen of other patients. I highly recommend Dr. Bruno and his team! If I ever decide to have other procedures, I will definitely be returning to him.THANK YOU!
I only went to Dr. Zarrabi for my consultation and haven't yet had my surgery but I had one of the best experiences I've ever had with a doctor. He was patient, kind, thorough. He answered every question I had and never rushed me once. He went through insurance possibilities with me and explained all of my options at length. I hope I can schedule my surgery with him soon.
Had my daughters nose performed here, as a mother I was against it obviously... however I chose them because of there experience and thank goodness everything turned out fine.
Dr. Max is one of the most outstanding surgeons and doctors you will ever meet and work with. Highly trained, highly skilled, an artist when it comes to aesthetics! For years before meeting Dr. Max, I heard from many people how wonderful he is - as a doctor and a human being. His staff take their q's from him and are also highly competent, very considerate and kind. Flexible too. If something comes up, they do not penalize you for being late to an appointment or having to cancel. Bernice in Dr. Max's Pasadena office is outstanding ... she understands all procedures, knows the pricing structure inside and out and is the keep of the schedule for Dr. Lehfeldt.Patricia V.
Dr. Teitelbaum is a master at his skill. I had several consultations with other surgeons and immediately I knew he was the perfect surgeon for me. His bedside manner, knowledge and experience gave me all the confidence I needed that I was in the best hands. As a surgeon myself I was incredibly impressed by the seamless process of the entire surgery including my excellent post surgical results. I am one year out from my surgery and my results are outstanding thanks to the masterful work of Dr. Teitelbaum.

There are various different types of ear surgery for a wide range of ear conditions, from infections to tumors. Surgery is often necessary when no other types of treatment can improve your ear condition or if your condition greatly affects your quality of life. Your doctor may also recommend surgery to avoid complications, such as hearing loss, balance problems, facial paralysis, or brain infections that can be life-threatening. In more extreme cases, surgery is needed for optimal ear and hearing health.
Acoustic Neuroma Surgery
The goal of acoustic neuroma surgery is to remove the tumor and preserve the facial nerve to preserve hearing and prevent facial paralysis when possible. The tumor can be removed through the inner ear or through a window in the skull.
Cochlear Implant Ear Surgery
A cochlear implant is an electronic device that is surgically implanted to help provide sound to people with hearing loss caused by a defect or damage in the inner ear. Cochlear implant bypass damaged hair cells in the inner ear. It stimulates the auditory nerve directly to send information to the brain.
Stapedectomy/Stapedotomy
Stapedectomy is a procedure to treat otosclerosis. In this procedure, the middle ear bone is replaced with a prosthesis. Your surgeon will create an incision in the skin of the ear canal, then lift the skin and eardrum to expose the stapes bone. Then, the stapes bone is removed and the prosthesis replaces it. The last step is putting the eardrum and the skin of the ear canal back in place.
Cosmetic Ear Surgery
Also known as otoplasty, this surgery is performed to reshape the pinna or the outer ear. The goal of this surgery is to improve appearance or to correct a deformity. During this procedure, your surgeon will make an incision on the back of your ear or within the inner creases of your ears. Then, they will position the outer ear to the desired position. For instance, ears that stick out too far from the head will be positioned closer to the head.
Congenital Atresia Ear Reconstruction
This is a surgical repair for people who were born without certain parts of the ear anatomy, including the ear canal, the ossicular chain (middle ear bones of hearing), and the eardrum.
Labyrinthectomy
Labyrinthectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the remaining inner ear balance function from a diseased ear that causes disequilibrium and vertigo.
Tympanoplasty
Tympanoplasty is a surgery that is used to restore the middle hearing mechanism. In this surgery, your surgeon will reconstruct the eardrum and/or the small bones of the middle ear.
Myringotomy Eardrum Repair
This surgery is done to open the eardrum and remove fluid from the middle ear, to treat otitis media. In some cases, your surgeon may insert a small tube in the middle of your ear to maintain drainage.
Your length of stay depends on the type of ear surgery you underwent. You generally need to stay in Los Angeles for 7 plus weeks because you need to let your body recover before you can travel. During your stay, you will also need to attend follow-up checkups where your surgeon will monitor your condition and remove your stitches (if necessary).
The recovery time after ear surgery varies, depending on the condition and type of ear surgery you have. It typically takes several weeks until you can return to your normal daily activities. Some people can go back to work within a week or two, while others may need four to six weeks until they can return to work. Strenuous activities, such as intense exercise and heavy lifting, should be avoided for several months. Make sure to talk to your surgeon about the detailed recovery timeline.
The aftercare may be different depending on the type of ear surgery you underwent. Your surgeon will give you specific instructions that you will need to follow. Your doctor will likely give you a prescription for pain medication to help you feel more comfortable during the recovery period. Make sure that you take the medication as directed. Since you will likely feel tired, you may want to ask someone to help you with chores around the house so you can focus on healing.
The success rate of each surgery is different. In general, ear surgery is a safe procedure with high success rates. The surgery is effective in treating problems with the ears. For instance, stapedectomy has a success rate of around 90%. Still, you need to be aware that there are some side effects and risks carried out by each procedure, such as infection, bleeding, and loss of hearing.
In some cases, you may not need surgery for your ear problems. Sometimes, your doctor may be able to recommend nonsurgical alternatives, such as medications and therapy. Make sure to talk to your doctor about what the best alternative is for your specific condition.
Before ear surgery, you may have an ear problem or disease that causes painful symptoms or may even be dangerous and affect your quality of life. After successful ear surgery, your disease may be cured, the symptoms should be relieved, and your quality of life will be improved.
