Hi guys, I feel like not many people on here mentioned VG Plastic Surgery ( maybe because the place is not heavily promoted in foreigners).I’ve been silently considering my revision rhinoplasty because I’ve never been satisfied with my primary rhinoplasty.It always felt like a really big decision to make but I constantly got annoyed at my nose. I hated taking pictures from the front because of my uneven nose ( kind like collapsed the left side of the nose).I found out about VG plastic surgery by chance while I read the reviews on the Purseforum blog, someone has mentioned the name of VG. I stumbled across a video on YouTube and Instagram. I liked the whole feeling of the hospital so I contacted them.They do 1:1 online consultation which was nice. The English consultant Julia, she is the one who assisted me and arranged for me to get a direct online consultation with Dr.Im Young Min ( CEO of VG and specialized in revision rhinoplasty ). She worked tirelessly to help me when I was doing online consultation and in-person consultation in Korea, to just before and all throughout after my surgery. She was always making herself available to me either in person at the clinic or online via LINE. She's probably one of the busiest employees at the clinic as she handles all of the English speakings foreign patients. I really appreciate her.Dr.Im Young Min is really good with rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and alarplasty ( has natural & dolly looking results). Dr.Im seemed professional and straightforward about what can and cannot be done. I feel like it’s better to know beforehand instead of being disappointed because of unrealistic expectations.It’s about 3 months post-op and so far I am liking the results. I have not regretted getting my revision rhinoplasty at VG Plastic Surgery. Overall I have a great experience and now I’m waiting for my final results ❤️

I haven’t had any type of plastic surgery before so I was a little nervous going in, but all the staff at 1mm made it really easy for me. My areas of focus were the lower abdomen, lower arm, axillary breast tissue and inner thighs. During my online consultation they let me know that since I was already slim mini lipo would be a better option for me. When I came in for my in-person consultation the doctor and consulting staff were very thorough in asking what kind of shaping I wanted and also letting me know what would and would not be possible, which I appreciated. On the day of the surgery I was quite nervous but as they explained what was going to happen it helped calm me down and by the time it came to the actual surgery I was more excited than anything else. Before the surgery I met with the doctor one last time so that he could map the areas. He said he thought I looked pretty calm. Nice to know I’m good at acting. Right after the surgery I met with the doctor again who explained how everything went, which it thankfully went according to plan, and just answered any questions I had regarding aftercare. I’ve heard instances of people describing the procedure as painful but rather than that I would say it felt more like discomfort equatable to a muscle ache. I was even able to catch a bus home myself a few hours after. This was my first ever surgical procedure of any kind and the doctor and staff at 1mm really made it a pleasant experience throughout. My korean isn’t great so they always had someone there to translate for me and just stay with me to answer questions or just help me feel more relaxed. I didn't have anyone accompany me to any of my appointments so that was really nice. All in all it was a positive experienced I know where I'm going to go if I ever decide to do anything else.

I am delighted to offer a review for ATOP Plastic Surgery Clinic. From the moment I received my first reply from Leah on my inquiry for council from ATOP until my last follow-up, I have been treated with care and kindness throughout. The professionalism by the entire staff has always been shown and helped ease my concerns of the potential procedure. In addition, since I do not speak Korean and only English, both Leah and Anna who spoke excellent English were always available for accurate translation. After my first conversation with Anna, she explained all the details and answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly. Once Dr. Ahn came in for the consultation he was extremely nice, professional, and helped me understand what the best course of action would be to correct the brow sag that was affecting my peripheral vision. While my sagging brows were affecting my vision, it was also affecting my ability to read without getting extremely tired. Once the procedure was complete, I immediately noticed the difference and was able to read without getting tired and my peripheral vision was greatly improved. Thank you, Dr. Ahn and staff for your professionalism and kindness and I will offer my recommendation to those interested in the ATOP Plastic Surgery Clinic.

Dr. Kim at dermatology does her job!! Was there for acne scar treatment a while ago and now I go time to time when I feel it's necessary. She speaks good English and all staffs are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Christy was simply amazing and very helpful. Her English is exceptional and she was extremely friendly which really helped me with my anxiety. My case was difficult as my previous Rhinoplasty was infected and got really bad and I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to get my normal nose back. However, Dr Kim was a true professional and he was honest with me that he would only be able to fix about 80%. To be honest I was disappointed hearing that but in the end I’d rather have a doctor who is upfront with me about what he can and cannot do than making false promises. I am now more than half a year post op ( 8 months) and the nose is shaping up alright! Albeit the parts where he couldn’t fix still bothers me a lot but all in all I’m glad to have a normal life back. Thank you Dr Kim, Christy, and all the staff at April 31!

Thigh liposuction is a surgical procedure that uses a suction technique to remove fat from the thighs. It is done to eliminate stubborn fat and bring back a smooth contour to your thighs. The thighs are among the most common complaints for people seeking liposuction as it is notorious to be filled with excess fatty tissue. While a proper diet and regular exercise may help eliminate them, it is not uncommon for some stubborn fat to remain.
Just like liposuction done on other areas of the body, thigh liposuction can be done on both men and women as well. However, the procedure is more popular among women. Many women undergo thigh liposuction to visibly correct their appearance. The procedure can help slim and sculpt the area, creating a long slender look. As a result, clothes can fit better, and you can feel more confident. The thigh liposuction can also help women achieve the ‘thigh gap,’ which is considered a desirable feature.
Below are the areas on the thighs that can have liposuction:
- Outer thighs – many people have excessive deposits of fat on their outer thighs, known as saddlebags, which can be distressing for some people as it affects their appearance in various types of clothing like skinny jeans or pencil skirts. Not everyone is a good candidate for thigh liposuction. You may be a right candidate for the procedure if you have good skin elasticity and are at a healthy weight for your body type. Remember, this procedure is not a weight-loss procedure, and it is designed for people who already practice a healthy lifestyle but are having trouble eliminating fat deposits in their thighs.
If you are currently trying to lose weight or experience weight fluctuations, you may not be a suitable candidate for thigh liposuction. Most surgeons recommend that you are within 30% of your ideal weight before getting thigh liposuction. Thigh liposuction is not recommended for people who have any serious diseases or those who smoke.
The Procedure
Before the actual procedure, you are going to have an initial consultation with your surgeon to determine which part of your thigh will receive the most benefits from liposuction. During this initial consultation, your surgeon may also check if you are an ideal candidate for the procedure and give you instructions to prepare for the procedure. Your surgeon may ask you to sleep at least 8 hours before surgery, avoid spicy foods, stop smoking and drinking alcohol, drink plenty of water, and wash the treatment area with an antibacterial soap on the day of the surgery.
On the day of your liposuction, your surgeon will start by administering anesthesia. Most thigh liposuction only requires local anesthesia, which only numbs the thigh area, so you will stay awake but won’t feel anything. In some cases, however, general anesthesia is required. General anesthesia causes you to be unconscious and unaware of anything throughout the procedure. A certified anesthesiologist monitors the use of general anesthesia to ensure your safety.
Once you are comfortably anesthetized, your surgeon will start creating a series of small incisions, typically shorter than one inch. These incisions are placed at specific areas of the thighs. Strategic placement of each incision is necessary to make sure all fat deposits are accurately eliminated. The surgeon will mark the incision sites with a marker to plan out the surgery.
- For the outer thighs, the incisions are created near the hip bones and on the sides of the thighs.
- For the inner thighs, the incisions are made in the creases of the buttocks and near the groin.
- For the knees, the incisions are created inside and/or outside of the knees.
The incisions are only large enough for the surgical device to be used and are placed in well-hidden locations, so they result in virtually unnoticeable scars.
After creating the incisions, your surgeon will then begin the liposuction. There are several techniques to perform liposuction in this area, but in general, your surgeon will insert a cannula into the incisions to suction the fat. The cannula is connected to a vacuum that suctions fat and fluids from your body. Your surgeon may use a laser to liquefy the fat. This makes it much easier for your fat to be suctioned. Once the suctioning is done, your surgeon will close the incisions with sutures or surgical glue. The last step is covering the incisions with a bandage.
It is important to remember that the thigh area is prone to cellulite. In certain cases, liposuction may improve the cellulite, but a different procedure may need to be performed to fade their appearance in most cases. Thigh liposuction also does not entirely get rid of saggy skin, so discuss other removal options with your plastic surgeon if you want to address the problem as well.
How Long Should You Stay in South Korea?
You can usually leave the hospital on the same day of your thigh liposuction, immediately after the effects of anesthesia wear off. In some cases, you may need to stay in the hospital for a night, particularly if general anesthesia is used. Since you may need to attend a follow-up checkup and you may experience some discomfort, it is recommended that you stay in South Korea for around a week. Your surgeon will remove any stitches during the follow-up checkup.
How Long is the Recovery Time?
Their recovery time after thigh liposuction can be different for everyone. In general, the total recovery period until you are allowed to resume your full normal routine may take around six weeks. You should be able to go back to work within 5 to 7 days following your surgery if your job does not involve a lot of physical activities. For the first two weeks following your thigh liposuction, you may need to wear a compression garment.
