Dr Balza is highly recommended, she is very professional and she provides amazing service since day one she made me feel comfortable and made me feel that I wasn’t just a number to her medical practice, her coordinator Lupita is wonderful, the hospital provided safety protocol and sanitation 100% the nurses and anesthesiologists were very kind and polite, I found Dr. Balza after looking at the board of plastic surgeons from Mexico, I feel very fortunate to have done my surgery with her.

Travelled through the Cronoavirus to get the gastric sleeve. Not only did they go above and beyond to be safe and clean from the covid 19 but its truly a well kept diamond in the rough. Super super clean, very caring, extremely pleasant surgery stay. Absolutely no complications from the sleeve and myself and mother where treated like royalties. Im definitely going back for skin removal. I would trust them with my whole life over and over before I returned to my Florida Doctor who is less clean and less kind. Well this is my second time here and let me tell you if I would be able to give Dr. Castañeda and his staff 10 stars that is exactly what I would give them. He made me feel very comfortable from the beginning to end. He answered all my questions. He is very professional and his work is AMAZING!! Already referred friends and family and will continue to do so. Staff is very knowledgeable, polite and super friendly. Clinic is very modern and clean. The Recovery Center is also amazing. Dr. Lara and his entire staff are the best. I reached out to several plastic surgeons and did my homework on their backgrounds, experience, etc. I decided to go with Dr. Lara because he had the highest ratings with a lot of experience. In addition, I worked with his Patient Coordinator, Itchtel. Her attentiveness and willingness to answer ALL of my questions let me know that they were the hospital for me. Dr. Lara called me to as well and that was a bonus (most of Dr.'s assistants call in my experience). When I arrived, I was met with kindness from everyone from the staff to the cardiologist to the anesthesiologist, to Dr. Lara. It's only day one, but I feel great, my body looks great even with the expected swelling and bruising. If I ever need anything again or get the chance to recommend a plastic surgeon, it will be him!

I have hated my lower eye bags for years. Now at age 59 I decided to do something about it. My cousin who is an RN and esthetician in the Bay Area recommended Dr. Juan Carlos Fuentes, who operates at a clinic in Tijuana, Mexico. Via a virtual consultation, whereby I sent him photographs and details of what I was seeking, he returned a price quote and details of the procedure he recommended, Transconjunctival Blepharoplasy. My assigned contact there, Yesenia, was knowledgeable and prompt getting back to me with answers to all my emailed questions. I decided to go ahead, and traveled to his lovely, state-of-the-art clinic, Cosmed, in Tijuana to first have the required lab tests done, and then returned 2 weeks later for the surgery. From start to finish he and his staff were professional and compassionate. The surgery lasted an hour, under local anesthesia with a sedative. I was discharged that day with stiches and surgical tape to keep them in place. I followed instructions, applied icepacks and took it very easy for a few days. I returned 5 days later to have the stitches removed, and was stunned by the dramatic improvement so soon after the procedure. The rapid healing and minor swelling and bruising I attribute to Dr. Fuentes’ masterful skills and long experience doing cosmetic surgery. I returned to work after 6 days and my coworkers were all amazed at the difference and how good I looked. Today is 8 days after, and I still can’t believe it when I look in the mirror. The whole experience and improvement far surpassed my expectations, and I heartily recommend Dr. Fuentes and Cosmed for any cosmetic surgery you may be considering. He partners with a few other surgeons at the clinic, who are also tops in their specialties. I saved thousands of dollars compared to what I’d have paid here in the US, and got a world-class result. I am so happy with the care and support that I received from all of the staff at Oasis of Hope. From the first day I made the decision to have my surgery to even now, the doctors and staff have taken great care to ensure my health and safety. I sincerely wish I knew the names of each and every one of the nurses, doctors, and staff that cared for me so I could personally thank them. I found communicating with the staff very easy, as most of them are fluent in English. I never had an issue with not being understood by staff, even the ones that were not fluent in English. Dr. Gonzales explained the procedure and asked if I had any questions. He really took the time to make sure I had a full understanding of what was being done. The hospital rooms are simple and unadorned with more than enough space to provide a comfortable stay. The shower has lots of hot water and fresh towels. Also, the room had a Lennox wall air conditioner that kept my room very comfortable. As for the hospital itself, it exudes an air of calm and peace. The only people that bustled about were the cleaning staff that cleaned everything in sight. Very Clean!! I walked around the day before my surgery and peeked into rooms with open doors. I found very modern-looking and new equipment. Nothing looked old or outdated. After my surgery, I always knew which doctor was in charge of my care and they can in the room to check on me. There was a doctor available to me 24/7 while I was at Oasis of Hope. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and can't wait to return for my body contouring surgery in a year!!

Many women undergo thigh liposuction to visibly correct their appearance. The procedure can help slim and sculpt the area, creating a long slender look. As a result, clothes can fit better, and you can feel more confident. The thigh liposuction can also help women achieve the ‘thigh gap,’ which is considered a desirable feature.

The Procedure
Before the actual procedure, you are going to have an initial consultation with your surgeon to determine which part of your thigh will receive the most benefits from liposuction. During this initial consultation, your surgeon may also check if you are an ideal candidate for the procedure and give you instructions to prepare for the procedure. Your surgeon may ask you to sleep at least 8 hours before surgery, avoid spicy foods, stop smoking and drinking alcohol, drink plenty of water, and wash the treatment area with an antibacterial soap on the day of the surgery.
On the day of your liposuction, your surgeon will start by administering anesthesia. Most thigh liposuction only requires local anesthesia, which only numbs the thigh area, so you will stay awake but won’t feel anything. In some cases, however, general anesthesia is required. General anesthesia causes you to be unconscious and unaware of anything throughout the procedure. A certified anesthesiologist monitors the use of general anesthesia to ensure your safety.
Once you are comfortably anesthetized, your surgeon will start creating a series of small incisions, typically shorter than one inch. These incisions are placed at specific areas of the thighs. Strategic placement of each incision is necessary to make sure all fat deposits are accurately eliminated. The surgeon will mark the incision sites with a marker to plan out the surgery.
- For the outer thighs, the incisions are created near the hip bones and on the sides of the thighs.
- For the inner thighs, the incisions are made in the creases of the buttocks and near the groin.
- For the knees, the incisions are created inside and/or outside of the knees.
The incisions are only large enough for the surgical device to be used and are placed in well-hidden locations, so they result in virtually unnoticeable scars.
After creating the incisions, your surgeon will then begin the liposuction. There are several techniques to perform liposuction in this area, but in general, your surgeon will insert a cannula into the incisions to suction the fat. The cannula is connected to a vacuum that suctions fat and fluids from your body. Your surgeon may use a laser to liquefy the fat. This makes it much easier for your fat to be suctioned. Once the suctioning is done, your surgeon will close the incisions with sutures or surgical glue. The last step is covering the incisions with a bandage.
It is important to remember that the thigh area is prone to cellulite. In certain cases, liposuction may improve the cellulite, but a different procedure may need to be performed to fade their appearance in most cases. How Long Should You Stay in Tijuana?
