Dr. Del was absolutely wonderful. His knowledge of dentistry along with his caring and compassionate demeanor is second to none. Due to cancer treatments my teeth were in pretty bad shape. He did a full mouth restoration, crowns and two bridges and my smile is better than ever. Many, many thanks to him and his team!
I just thought it might help others if I posted my experience with Dr. Obando and Nova Dental in Escazu, Costa Rica. I selected Dr. Obando after extensively researching implant dentists. I found Dr. Obando's credentials and testimonies to be exceptional. In 2017, I had a full upper arch implanted and can only say that the procedure was a life changing event. The implants improved the quality of my life and are more comfortable than what my original teeth were before the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Obando not only for his skills and professional manner but for also being an all around good guy that would be hard not to like.
Flew from L.A. to get six veneers after doing my homework. Excellent choice! Amazing work, staff and experience! The communication was superb and everything went according to agenda. Highly recommend Dr. Kaver and his team, and look forward to going back this year for the bottoms.
I could have had my chipped veneer (my fault: no fault of Cleo Dental’s workmanship) repaired here in Boston ($1,200) but I felt better having Dr Juliana Castro Lapeira, who made them last year, take care of it.I was surprised when she texted that there would be “no charge for the repair”.They set up my appointment around my schedule and picked me up at the airport. The new veneer was created in their state-of-the-art lab the same day.I’m so grateful for the implants, crowns and veneers they’ve created for me for over the past seven years. My dental hygienist will be going down for dental implants. Even with her dental discount, she can’t afford them here in Massachusetts. She told me, “I've been telling everyone that I’ve seen their work first hand, and how great it looked.”I initially went to Cost Rica because implants were 50% less. Now, I won't go to a local dentist except for cleanings. My insurance company listed Dr Anglada as one of the top three international dentists. The quality of care is amazing. They all work together and take pride in their work.I’ve saved hundreds even after air fare, hotel, day tours: horseback riding, the rain forest, volcanoes, La Paz Waterfall Gardens. I'm always proud to recommend them!
Returned recently from my surgery and work at Dental Cosmetics in Alajuela, San Jose and loved my experience. Even before I arrived, Diana and staff helped me with all the information I needed over WhatsApp and clearly explained my case. Location was easy to get to when I arrived, simple check in process, and Dr. Fernandez was very thorough about my surgery, overview of teeth, and hospitality. Karla did a fantastic job with the IV infusions before, during, and after surgery. Dental Cosmetics CR are fantastic and I look forward to going back! Pricing, quality of work, and hospitality make this place 5 stars
My wife and I just finished having 5 crowns and 4 fillings done between us. This has been my 4th visit for dental work, and my wife’s second. We have nothing but praise for Geovanna, Francisco and Dr Cesar. My first visit several years ago involved 2 implants, which required 2 visits over 3 months. They strongly discourage putting the crowns on too soon. The posts needed to be assimilated by the jaw bone. One tooth required a root canal. I had very little pain, and none with any of the subsequent procedures performed by Dr Cesar.I am a Medical Doctor, and have had no concerns about sterile technique. This clinic does excellent work, and will work within a patient’s scheduled visit in country. However, if you require an upscale office with all the bells and whistles, look elsewhere—but you’ll find it at five times the price of this clinic. Bottom line: their work is excellent and reasonable!
What a quality of people, on December 30 and they waited for us for an emergency at 5pm, the truth: good people with ❤ still exist!
On a referral from a friend, I went to have an evaluation done with Dr. Bonilla. Really was a great decision and I am very happy with the work done. Very professional bi-lingual staff, state-of-the-art equipment and very competitive prices. They did in less than 2 weeks what would have taken 2 months in the USA and at a much lower cost. But don't let the great prices fool you. The work I had done and was top quality and I now have a smile that I am not afraid to show off!

The All-on-2 is a revolutionary approach in the field of dental restoration that offers a permanent solution for individuals with missing or severely damaged teeth.
This innovative procedure involves the placement of two dental implants, which serve as the foundation for a full arch of prosthetic teeth. Dental implants are surgically placed in your jawbone, where they serve as the roots of missing teeth. Because the titanium in the implants fuses with your jawbone, the implants won't slip, make noise or cause bone damage the way fixed bridgework or dentures might.
In Costa Rica, a team of highly trained dental professionals will guide you through the All-on-2 process. From initial consultation to surgery, and up to aftercare, the team will ensure that you are comfortable and well-informed about the procedure.
The cost of the All-on-2 in Costa Rica varies greatly depending on several factors. These factors include the complexity of your dental needs, the materials used for the prosthetics, and the expertise of the dental surgeon. As a general guide, prices can range from $4,000 to $10,000 per arch.
The cost of dental implants can also depend on the location of the clinic. However, many patients find that the benefits of the All-on-2, such as improved oral health and the confidence of a beautiful smile, far outweigh the cost.
The All-on-2 is a multi-step process that includes preoperative assessment, surgical placement of the implants, and fitting of the prosthetics. To begin with, a comprehensive dental exam will be conducted to assess your oral health and to determine the best treatment plan.
According to the Healthline, during the surgical procedure, the dental surgeon will place two dental implants into your jawbone. These implants act as anchors for the prosthetic teeth. Once the implants are in place, a temporary set of teeth may be fitted while your gums heal and the implants integrate with your bone.
The length of stay in Costa Rica for a All-on-2 procedure can vary depending on the individual's healing process and the specificities of the procedure. On average, patients are advised to expect a stay of one to two weeks.
This duration allows for initial recovery from surgery, any necessary follow-up appointments, and the fitting of the permanent prosthetic teeth. It is crucial to plan for adequate time for recovery to ensure the success of the procedure.
The recovery time for All-on-2 procedure varies from person to person, but generally, you can expect to start feeling better in a few days following the surgery. It may take several weeks or even months for your mouth to fully heal. This is the period required for the implants to completely integrate with your bone, a process known as osseointegration.
Following the procedure, you may experience some discomfort, such as swelling of your gums and face, minor bleeding, and bruising of your skin and gums. Your dentist or oral surgeon may prescribe pain medication to alleviate any discomfort during your recovery period.
The All-on-2 is considered a highly successful procedure. The success rate varies depending on the patient's overall health, the quality of aftercare, and the expertise of the dental professionals. However, on average, the success rate of dental implants is reported to be as high as 98%.
According to Healthline, dental implants are one of the most effective and long-lasting ways to replace missing teeth. With proper care and maintenance, the All-on-2 can provide a durable and functional solution that lasts for many years.
While the All-on-2 is a highly effective solution for missing or severely damaged teeth, there are alternatives available. These alternatives can include traditional dentures or bridges. However, these traditional solutions may not offer the same level of comfort, functionality, and aesthetic appeal as the All-on-2.
Mayo Clinic states that dental implants offer benefits that other tooth replacement options can't match, including a natural appearance, improved speech and comfort, and prevention of bone loss. It's always best to discuss your options with a dental professional who can guide you in making the best decision for your oral health.
Before the All-on-2, your dentist will conduct a comprehensive dental exam, discuss your medical history, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. You may be instructed to fast before the procedure, and arrangements for transportation after the surgery should be made as you may be under the influence of anesthesia.
After the procedure, it's normal to experience some discomfort, such as swelling, bruising, minor bleeding, and pain. Your dentist will provide specific aftercare instructions which may include diet recommendations, oral hygiene instructions, and guidelines on physical activities.
After the All-on-2, it's essential to practice good oral hygiene to ensure the success of the implants and the longevity of the prosthetic teeth. This includes brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and regular check-ups at your dental clinic. You may also be advised to avoid certain foods and activities that could harm the implants while they are healing. Smoking, in particular, should be avoided as it can hinder the healing process and lead to implant failure.
The All-on-2 has a high success rate, with many patients experiencing significant improvements in their oral health and quality of life. However, like any medical procedure, the success of the All-on-2 can depend on several factors including the patient's overall health, the skill of the dental surgeon, and the quality of aftercare.
Dental implants have a success rate of up to 98%. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime, making them a long-term, cost-effective solution for individuals with missing or severely damaged teeth.

Costa Rica is a tiny country in Central America, bordered by Panama, Nicaragua, the Caribbean Sea, and the Pacific Ocean. This country is generally regarded as having the most democratic and stable government of all the Central American countries. It charms its visitors with unspoiled beaches, lush rainforests, a plethora of wildlife, and steaming volcanoes. Besides its breathtaking landscape, Costa Rica is also famous for its healthcare. Tens of thousands of medical tourists come to this country to take advantage of its world-class yet inexpensive medical care. Most of the medical procedures in the country are 40% to 50% cheaper than in the United States or Europe. Cosmetic surgery and dentistry are the most sought-after procedure, but a growing number of foreign patients also come for orthopedic treatment, bariatric surgery, and eye surgery.
Surrounded by volcanoes and green hills, San José, the capital and largest city of Costa Rica, has one of the most spectacular settings in the world. This laid-back and pleasant capital is filled with colonial mansions that have been converted into contemporary galleries, amazing food, and vibrant nightlife. The most popular attractions in this city are Museo de Jade, Teatro Nacional, Museo Nacional de Costa Rica, and Mercado Central. Those who want to relax under the sun usually visit Tamarindo, which is famous for its beaches. Here, visitors can visit Las Baulas National Marine Park, go rafting in the Colorado River, or relax in Playa Tamarindo.
Due to its close proximity to the Equator, Costa Rica is a tropical country with two seasons: the dry “summer” season and rainy “winter” season. The dry season, from January to April, is warm and pleasant. Rain is very unlikely to fall during this season, even in the rainforests. The rainy season, sometimes called the “green season,” is hot and humid. Rain usually falls in the afternoon and evening, while the mornings are often sunny. On the Caribbean coast, rainfall is spread out throughout the year, but it gets far less rain in September and October.
Juan Santamaría International Airport is the main international airport in Costa Rica, located in San José. It has various flights to domestic and international destinations, including Toronto, Mexico, New York, and London. Affordable domestic flights between San José and popular destinations are the fastest way to get around and handy for accessing the more remote areas. Buses are reasonably priced and have an extensive network, but they can be slow. Private and shared shuttles are available, the best way to get around is, however, by renting a car as it gives more flexibility and allows you to access more remote destinations.
Everyone who wants to visit and stay in Costa Rica is required to have a passport unless they are a citizen of one of the visa-exempt countries. The visa-exempt countries include EU countries, the UK, the US, Australia, Russia, and several other nations. Citizens of other countries not listed in the visa exemption agreement need to apply and obtain a visa before visiting.
