I highly recommend Foremedi to anyone. They are a group of professionals (surgeon, hospital staff, patient coordinator/translator ) extremely proficient in what they do. I had done my research prior to choosing Foremedi and their responsiveness, honesty, professionalism prior to my trip to Antalya convinced me that they are a trusted group. From the moment I arrived to Antalya, I was greeted by a proficient English speaking patient coordinator who had arranged for blood and other tests prior to my surgery. He guided me to all those appointments without any waiting or delays. I was then transported in a luxury Mercedes van to the hotel. A very nice beach front hotel in great location, about 15 minutes away from the hospital and about 5 minutes away from the surgeon’s office/clinic. On the day of surgery, I got picked up promptly and once again greeted by very kind and knowledgeable patient coordinator (Mr. Chatai). The pre surgery process was very thorough and perfectly on time. After the surgery, I stayed one night at the hospital and the nurses/staff were very attentive. They even used Google translator to communicate with me. I got excellent care over night and discharged the next day. The patient coordinator was perfectly on time to pick me up, even filled my prescription and I was dropped off to the hotel. At the hotel, he was in constant communication with me and the surgeon to ensure that there weren’t any problems. I was picked up two days after the surgery to meet the surgeon in his office. He removed the bandages and kindly updated me that all is well. The surgeon spoke great English too. I barely felt that I was getting a procedure in a foreign country. They made everything so smooth and accommodating. They exceeded all my expectations. I am extremely pleased and will definitely go back for any needed plastic surgery. Bravo Foremedi

Recently I had Gastric Sleeve Surgery with Dr. Celik and his team and I would like to say a few things about the surgery and his team. I really had a hard time making a decision. I was 265 lb.     What you need to know about Buttock Augmentation in Turkey

    Buttock Augmentation is considered a plastic / cosmetic surgery procedure that requires coordination between a plastic surgeon, anesthetist and other surgical medical staff. This type of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery procedure / treatment can be considered reasonably expensive, especially given the skill set, experience, training and equipment used by the specialists involved. For Buttock Augmentation, photos are required for the specialist to review prior to treatment.

    As with all plastic surgeries, recovery varies from person to person and this is no different for Buttock Augmentation, where the immediate recovery post-op can take a few days before you're moving around again. You should anticipate an extended period of rest immediately following your surgery, during which time you should avoid any heavy lifting and strenuous exercising. After a week or so, you can expect to return to light activities, gradually breaking yourself in over the new few weeks and months. The plastic surgeon will provide you with a detailed post-operative aftercare plan, which should be closely followed. This may include exercises and stretches, a diet plan and advice on how to treat the wounds.

    You will be required to stay in Turkey for around 10-14 days post-op. During this time you'll be required to visit the surgeon for a post-op checkup and have stitches removed. Once given the all clear, you'll be able to travel home, it's very rare for travel arrangements needing to be changed as the success rate for Buttock Augmentation is very high. This is mostly down to the more recent advances in medical technologies and surgical techniques, coupled with the extended experience of the plastic surgeons. However, the risk of complications is always there and these may include infection of the wound, bleeding, numbness and swelling around the wound and damaged scar tissue. To reduce the likelihood of such complications, all patients need to do is rest immediately after surgery and adhere to the surgeon's aftercare and recovery advice.

    Getting around in Turkey

    Istanbul’s famous Ataturk International Airport sits 24 km outside the city and is home to the ever-popular Turkish Airlines. Most other major airlines service Ataturk, which is often used as a stopover destination for travelers between Europe and Asia. All the other major cities are serviced by their own international airports, with several low-cost domestic airlines joining them together, including AtlasGlobal, IZair, Onur Air, Pegasus Airlines, and SunExpress.

    For those preferring to travel by land, Turkey has a few express train routes linking the major cities, most notably, Istanbul to Ankara. City buses are reliable and good value, whilst taxis are cheap, but be sure to negotiate the price before beginning any journey.

    Tourist Visas in Turkey

    Visa restrictions are relatively light, with a 90-day per visit allowance readily available for many nationalities. Still, e-visas need to be procured in advance, for a fee, by travelers hailing from countries such as the US, UK, Australia, China, and Spain. Conversely, passport holders from countries including France, Germany, Russia, and Singapore are granted visa-free entry.

    For nationals from India and Pakistan, conditional e-visas are offered upon arrival, but solely at Ataturk International Airport. These visas have a validity of just 30 days. For comprehensive information on visa requirements, it is recommended to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

    Additional Information

    1. The Turkish Lira (TRY) is the local currency where $1 USD is worth about 18 TRY, having experienced heavy fluctuations recently.
    2. ATMs are in abundance across Turkey and accept all bank cards (Visa, Mastercard). Credit card and Amex payments are accepted in most restaurants and outlets, with more local food vendors or food market stalls, only accepting cash. Tipping is expected as service is not included at restaurants, this is usually between 5-10%. Taxi rides tend not to be tipped, just rounded up.
    3. Turkish is the local language with the eastern Kurds speaking Kurdish too. English is spoken by many locals working in tourist locations, including major cities.
    4. Islam (99.8%) is by far the main religion in Turkey, with a tiny Christian population (0.2%). Turkey is, however, a secular country where there is no ‘official’ state religion. Various elements of traditional culture remain, with much being modernized or ‘Westernized’.
    5. There are many public holidays, most notably Labor Day and Commemoration of Ataturk in May, Ramazan Feast in June, Kurban Bayrami in August, and Republic Day at the end of October.
