Phnom Penh International Airport is the main international airport in Cambodia. It serves numerous direct flights to and from major cities in Asia, such as Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai. The easiest way to travel around the country is by air, as the country has daily flights between its major cities, although they can be a little expensive. Buses are available and are the cheapest and most convenient way to travel around the country. While trains have limited routes, they are usually very comfortable. To get around cities, tourists can opt for a moto, tuk-tuk, or taxi.
Anyone who wants to visit Cambodia must obtain a visa, except if they are citizens of the visa exemption countries. The visa exemption countries are Brunei, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Seychelles. Those who need a visa can apply for a visa on arrival or e-visa that the country provides. All visitors are required to hold a passport valid for six months, with one empty page.
Since Cambodia is located within the tropics, the temperatures will stay warm all year round. The country experiences two main seasons: wet and dry. The wet season, from May to October, has pleasant temperatures with brief rainfalls during the day. In November, the dry seasons start bringing hot temperatures and sunny days. The temperatures can soar to as high as 35°C.
